GREAT PLACES TO LIVE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA 2024
However, the globally recognized events and vibrant downtown areas of Los Angeles and San Diego serve as a quick reminder that Southern California is more than just a place with beaches and sunshine.
Let's just say that there's something inherently special about SoCal.
The Bob Cowan team will lead you through some of SoCal's most sought-after locations below, These are a few of Southern California's greatest areas to call home.
Numerous factors were taken into account by the researchers, such as the quantity of employment prospects, general diversity, quality of life, and the city's projected growth.
Irvine, California
Irvine, a master-planned community in Orange County, is home to 307,000 people. It is well-known in Southern California as the location of numerous technology and semiconductor companies, as well as a potent center for higher learning.
Even though Irvine's economy is robust due to its local companies, living in the city is expensive. Furthermore, the nightlife in Irvine isn't as vibrant as it is in San Diego, Orange County, or other parts of Los Angeles.
Loma Linda
Just east of Los Angeles, in San Bernardino County, is the rather modest California city of Loma Linda. Its cost of living is marginally cheaper than the national average, while its livability score is above average.
In comparison to certain other California communities, Loma Linda has a low crime rate. Additionally, the region has some top-notch educational institutions, such as Loma Linda University.
Newport Beach
Adjacent to Irvine is the Southern California seaside city of Newport Beach. It has a number of well-known beaches, one called "the Wedge" that is well-known for its large surf. It's ideal for swimmers and surfers because of this.
Newport Beach's cost of living is greater than the national average, just like it is in any other California coastal community. Fortunately, there's a low crime rate and lots of excellent cuisine to make up for it.
San Diego
San Diego is well-known for its wonderful climate, superb beaches, top-notch golf courses, thriving nightlife, and diverse range of artistic expressions. It also boasts a great job market, offering a wider range of positions than other Californian towns in the fields of technology, life sciences, international trade, tourism, and military.
With a median household income of $85,507, San Diego has much higher incomes than both the state of California and the United States. In 2019, San Diego's incomes climbed by an amazing 7.36%.
