WJust about every May I sit down to write Homeward Bound; I write about Mom’s Day. And why not… it is a very special day for very special people.
My Mom used to tell me, seemingly repeatedly, to do this and do that, not to do this and not to do that. ALL, I recall, very valuable advice. Looking back on it all these many years later, I can say she was, and still is, a very wise woman.
Time reveals, in fact, just about every caring Mother is a Wise Woman. I can see why we carve out a special day each year to acknowledge Moms. So here is a shout out to all Mom’s – Happy Mother’s Day!!
My Mother’s Birthday is May 10th which somehow seems to fall on or very close to Mother’s Day each year. So, she gets double the hugs and appropriate accolades every May from my Sister and me. (see inside for details)

You may recall my team and I are on a mission to raise money for Children’s in AWOW. We do that by donating a portion of our income from home sales to this very worthy cause.
Right now, there are kids at AWOW who are enjoying the surfing therapy. The Mom’s with kids that has special needs have a whole extra set of responsibilities that most mere mortals could never handle, and most likely NOT thinking about their special day this month. They are simply just being “Mom” doing what a real loving Mom does. God bless them for it.
Most don’t know though that A Walk on Water is a non-profit, so they depend on sponsorships and donations to provide their world class care and keep costs for families of these beautiful kids to a minimum. So, when you or anyone you know does business with us, not only do we deliver on our award-winning service, but you can also rest assured a very worthy cause benefits as well.

Why I Support A Walk On Water:
I grew up right here in Southern California. I remember when I first heard about a young person close to our family having difficulties from disabilities and getting treated for that at A Walk On Water. It was then that I began to pay closer attention to the work they do at that center. Since then, I have learned that it is a collection of hard-working volunteers that were Surf Enthusiast, most making their home right here in the Redlands area, all coming together for a common cause. That cause is to guide young people (through surfing) and receives the positive effects and oceans healing powers.
Being in the California area, a California native, I take pride in supporting in a way that I can the good work these people do at Children's. My team rally's around our annual goal of raising money and donating portions of our income to help Children's in their quest to heal young people when they need healing. My team and I are committed to providing outstanding results for buyers and sellers referred to us by our past clients. I have discovered that A Walk On Water shares similar commitments to their patients. And since their services survive on sponsorships and donations we are happy to contribute and proud to support them.
